Author(s): KH Pathways
The Book of Luke is the third Gospel account of the life of Jesus, most likely written after Matthew, Mark, and John. The focus is a well-researched, chronological account that highlights the humanity of Jesus and His compassion and love for the outcasts of the Jewish culture. Luke was the only Gospel writer who did not know Jesus personally, but he interviewed eyewitnesses to create his account. He was most likely a Gentile doctor who traveled with Paul (Colossians 4:14; 2 Timothy 4:11; Philemon 24).
